Short: Birthday at a Fancy Restaurant
SUMMARY: Dyrus is having an employees only birthday celebration in a pretty fancy restaurant! His three goons were given allowance to come on over, but he said they had to figure out themselves how to get past the bouncer.
EXTRA NOTES: (Originally Written in 2021) I like to practise screenwriting this way (minus the formatting). However, this is a concept I want to turn into a comic, so sometimes you'll see things that you wouldn't usually see in a screenplay (i.e. a single "..." or a "?!", etc.)
1, OVER BLACK
DYRUS
Yeah, yeah, it's an employees-only gathering, you're invited. But if you wanna get in, you just gotta figure out how to get inside. Remember the address. Remember the time. If you even arrive! GAHAHAHAHA!!!
2, DYRUS' OFFICE - NIGHT
The curtain of the exit flows. Zig, Beht and Gorrik are the only ones in the room.
ZIG
Sure thing, Boss...!
Pause.
BEHT
"You just gotta figure out how to get in" ...What's that supposed to mean?
ZIG
Beats me.
GORRIK
Who cares?! I'm ready to party!
3, CITY - NIGHT
At the entrance to a fancy restaurant, the bouncer blocks Zig, Beht and Gorrik in their path. Gorrik carries the poorly, yet charmingly iced birthday cake.
BOUNCER
No.
GORRIK
What?!
ZIG
We got the invitations n' everythin'! That should be enough to get us in.
BOUNCER
No.
BEHT
Weeiiirrd...
GORRIK
You think you know what we're missing, Beht?
BEHT
Well... We could use a bat and some rope right now.
ZIG
Shut up, I got this! (To the bouncer) Alrighty Mister, what's it we missin'? We short on cash?
BOUNCER
No.
ZIG
ID?
BOUNCER
No. Short on a few brains, if anything.
