Spectrobes: Origins - Menahat's off-screen scenes and other things #3

START | << PREVIOUS | NEXT >>

NOTES: Some divergence from the previous chapters. Here's a look into Neal's journal entries. Also, I have no idea how to do the dating system, but since Menahat doesn't have civilisastion anymore, it wouldn't not make sense just to track the days.

Chapter 3

DAY 1

I decided that I wouldn’t do much today. The flight from Wyterra to Menahat was so long and tiring, and the ship broke down on my arrival (which I’ll have to fix at some point). Since then, I’ve just been feeling jet lagged and overall exhausted. I still wanted to check out the Great Desert before settling down, so I used what energy I had left in me to take a quick look. Interestingly, I came across a sort of work camp on my way, and I needed permission to get into the desert from one of the authorities there (which I found annoying…) This whole camp part, I don’t think is so important to me and this project, but I’ve used its location as a good reference point. Its giant gate is now one of my landmarks, being North-West of the Great Desert region.

Typical henchman stuff

Telling Neal to take them to the ruins, or else…

(All this happened off-screen, but I do wish there were cutscenes for this plot point xD)

Interrogating the poor explorer

(featuring da boss)

AU with free roaming Spectrobes

Neal’s gone exploring with the bros and is actually not being threatened in this scenario. (Unfortunately for Zig & Gorrik, all the nerd stuff comes first)

Something more slice-of-life-y

A bit different from the more action-adventure/humorous sort of tone I’m used to doodling. Zig is definitely going to use this information not for bad-guy purposes at all xD

Jeena in the trio’s outfits

Personally, I like the look she has with goggles on.

Also, she and Beht share the same know-it-all pose — that being the reason I drew her like that xD

Replaying Origins 2024

WE ARE HEREE

So, I guess that's it! :')

I'm just remembering I've defeated Darkroe and recorded the goons' dialogue after its defeat. This may be the last we'll ever hear from them

Maybe my next task is recording dialogue I like from Nessa's NPCs in games 1 and 2. My 3DS is getting old and I'm worried what might happen if I continue to use it for long xD (or maybe I'm just getting a little paranoid)

And also, I don't have my hands on the first game... So I guess, it's either emulation or get myself thte game? IDK...

THE "SENTIENT SHOES"

Everyone makes fun of these guys for being THE "sentient shoes".

I think they're awesome. People just gotta learn how to appreciate.

The cowboy theme is the thing that got these guys to be my favourites as a kid
