THE GOONS:

• They like to smoke (the Kaio system's equivalent to) marijuana in their spare time.
• Let's face it, they've each individually been arrested before.

• Zig
• He's probably into journaling his encounters
• Other likely hobbies include:
• Fishing
• Playing cards
• Carries a hip flask everywhere.
• Has a soft spot for small animals. He hates to show it.
• Thinks that Spectrobes are damn awesome
• Wears aloha shirts
  
• Does the most cooking of the three
• Beht
• I've transformed his smugness into a having a little bit of vanity 
• Usually has cologne and mints wherever he goes.
• Freshens up at least 2-3 times a day.
• Funnily enough, his casual wear isn't too stylish, and he even admits that it's quite plain
• A regular at any library. Taken up reading and researching as a hobby.
• Other hobbies include:
• Also fishing 
• Nature strolls, drives

• Gorrik
• He was pretty stupid at school, but he really wanted to go to college
• (Sorry Gorrik for giving you that backstory, haha)
• Quite good at guitar
• Other hobbies include:
• Also fishing
• Bringing a camera to take photos and videos literally everywhere
• Writing in a diary
• Wouldn't be surprised if this guy had ADHD
• Undiagnosed and untreated

NEAL THE EXPLORER

• He very much likely studied archaelology at a university but he doesn't work a standard 9-5 in that field
  
• I feel like he's contributed to museums, non-fiction media and scholarly textbooks
• Only credited with his first name for some reason, which is kind of mysterious
• Or maybe 'Neal' isn't even his real name, who knows?
• Probably that's why he's just a "legend" to people
• He's "camera-shy". Doesn't show up in photos, ever.
• Doesn't keep up with the news much, or the media in general
• He just goes around. He's not really much around civilization
• Huge on journaling, and using non-electronic (or at the very least analogue) objects
• Which is probably for the best for his drifter/nomadic lifestyle 
• He does find a GPS useful though, and he keeps a phone just in case
• I imagine he'd be good at sketching too. Doing it really creates a strong bond between you and the things that you see around you.
• He's got a tiny spaceship (or really a space car) of his own, just enough to carry himself and a few belongings
• Since he travels alone, due to his luck he very likely has crashed it multiple times, 
• this kind of implies that he also knows more than just a thing or two about repairing a space car. He should probably know one inside and out
• 
  

DYRUS, CEO OF DYRUS INDUSTRIES:

• He hits the casino often, for the money and the stakes. Of course, gambling would be one of his hobbies, and he'd invite his cronies to assist him
• He's afraid of spiders
• Has a whole collection of box sets of soap operas for some reason, which he actually watches in his spare time
• He has collections of expensive vintage stuff 
• When he scolds the trio, he likes to come up with the most colourful insults on the spot. Maybe in another universe he was a creative writer instead? Haha.

THE GOONS' RELATIONSHIP TO DYRUS:

• At first tried to steal from him, knowing he's pretty much the richest man in the Kaio system (yeah, they'd be dumb enough to go THAT ambitious)
• When they were caught, they tried lying out of the situation by saying they were actually trying to get a job, thinking they'd immediately lose the offer, as snobby as Dyrus is
• Dyrus let the three of them get jobs anyway and he made them good for doing all his dirty work
• So yeah, now they do illegal shit for a living and enjoy it 
• Anyways, that's just the backstory

GOONS' FAMILY/FAMILIES:

• They're half brothers. Same dad, different mothers.
• Zig's in the middle (28)
• Beht's the eldest (29)
• Gorrik's the youngest (26)
• Met up somehow when they were each 12, 13 & 10 respectively
• Specific family stuff? (Here)

GOONS' CHILDHOODS:

• Zig
• Clearly he was picked on at school for his height
• To be honest, he's lucky to be stubborn enough not to take it so badly
• His dialogues (at least in the English release) imply that he's got an accent
• So, I can imagine he spent a good fraction of his childhood in an area, either rural or where street talk is common in the culture
• Beht
• Had a bit of a rebellious streak, although quiet about it
• Thought he was just too cool, and people thought he was annoying
• Despite his careless and smug attitude, his grades at school didn't really suffer
• Gorrik
• In school
• Was always late
• Never paid attention in class
• Always zoning out
• Although he really never meant any of that maliciously
