Funnily, I've made up some stuff about Dyrus, too. For instance, he's got a few secrets -- that he's extremely arachnophobic, and that he has a collection of soap-opera box sets, for instance. Also, I have no idea how Zig, Beht & Gorrik even make it into his private property, despite (likely) being heavily monitered by cameras and security guards.

Anyways, some sitcom-y kind of doodles

So, I'm at the Philippines to help mum with her high school reunion stuff, and I've forgotten how much the heat here is different from Australian summers. It's more humid so you feel all sticky, and it gets awkward to stand up from a faux leather couch while wearing short-ish shorts, haha.

(or Kaio's equivalent, since the animals are probably different there)

Gave Dyrus some severe arachnophobia to punish him a little. And to give him some more humanity, especially since I like to make the three invade his private life sometimes (so, headcanons like this should come naturally). Also, this may be a little out-of-character for Zig to gently carry a tarantula with his hands, but I just thought it would be a little funnier this way. Maybe he's just trying to act tough.

Also, I have another unfinished doodle of the bros intruding Dyrus's marathon of a soap opera, where there's an intimate scene on TV causing Zig, Beht & Gorrik to freak out, covering each other's eyes, so Dyrus screams at them, "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I hope to get to finishing that someday because I think the delivery is hilarious xD

I dunno what exactly, but liked the vibes of this one enough to post it

Fired

There's a funny scenario in my head where after they get fired, they feel so lost. They stumble across Neal and he teaches them about the wonders of a boss-less life. They enjoy it for a while, but suddenly they stop functioning and claim to need to work under a terrible boss. And so they try to get back to Dyrus, who coincidentally is looking for disposable pawns because his existing workers are too useful, and so they all end up back together x'D

IDK I just felt like seeing how I should make R63 Dyrus look like xd I wanted her to give off the same vibes as (how I draw) Dyrus himself.

Anyways, two of my best friends and I had a PowerPoint presentation night, and I saw this as a great opportunity to fully introduce them to the guys from Menahat xD

I think it’s unfair how (slightly) little attention I give to Beht compared to the other two, but his genderbent version has me head-over-heels. I think I need to compensate.

Some comments I remember:

• One of them feeling bad for Gorrik in that opinions chart with the bros, he's the only one with positive comments about the other two
• They've been Pokemon fans, especially in middle school, stated that the bros were so Team Rocket coded x'D
• Something along the lines of "How did we go from this to that?!" when discussing Beht and the female version I created from him x'D
• (If I remember more comments, I'll add them)

ONE girl from Menahat has a name now

There are no names that I've really stuck with for the girls from Menahat, but it would only make sense to name this one Betsy xD

I very rarely draw Zig, Beht and Gorrik without their masks. I may as well try to get used to it, especially because of a comic I'm working on xD

EXT - GREAT DESERT - DAY

Sitting on the sand, Rallen and Jeena are taking a break from walking around the desert. Rallen sips a bottle of water and Jeena watches Komainu dig in the sand. Jeena looks a little blue. 

Close by, Neal runs back with a strange notebook. Zig, Beht and Gorrik stalk him from not too far away.

NEAL: Rallen! Jeena! You gotta check out what I just found! It could be an ancient artefact!

RALLEN: Whoa! 

Rallen checks out the notebook in Neal's hands. Jeena remains seated. 

JEENA: Oh y-yeah, that's pretty interesting...!

NEAL: Right?!

Rallen looks back at Jeena.

RALLEN: ... Hold on, Neal. Wait a sec.

NEAL: Okay! I'll be right here, then!

Rallen jogs up to Jeena and sits down with her. 

RALLEN: Hey Jeena, you seem a bit down... (In his thoughts,) Which is incredibly unusual. (Aloud,) What's up?

JEENA: *Sigh* You wouldn't get it.

RALLEN: C'mon, we're partners -- best friends. You can tell me anything. 

JEENA: Okay, well... It's just that, especially since leaving Doldogo, I've been feeling - I dunno - a little lonely.

RALLEN: Lonely?

JEENA: Yeah. I know it doesn't really matter, but... It's kinda weird knowing I've been probably the only girl around for millions of miles. Since then, I've just been reminded of how much I miss some of our friends back at Kollin.

RALLEN: Ohhh... I see. 

NEAL: (Offscreen) WAAAHH!!!

RALLEN: (To Jeena) Hmm, how about once this Menahat stuff is all over, we can head back to Doldogo? We can totally catch up with Salia again, y'know? 

JEENA: I suppose... But it's just... Don't get weird about this, okay? But... *Sigh* I kinda wish you guys were girls.

RALLEN: Oh what?

An imagination cloud, delving into Rallen's mind. He imagines himself and Neal as if they were women, hanging out with Jeena in the desert.

RALLEN: Hm... That's an interesting thought.

A foreign imagination cloud intrudes Rallen's. From that cloud, three shady-looking women - versions of Zig, Beht, and Gorrik - attempt to kidnap Neal. A female version of Dyrus villainously laughs at their success.

GORRIK: Yeah, that IS interesting!

The imagination clouds disappear. Zig, Beht and Gorrik, currently constrain Neal in attempts to kidnap him. 

ZIG: I think they heard ya, you moron!

Ralland and Jeena look at Neal, Zig, Beht and Gorrik.

RALLEN/JEENA: What the--

BEHT: (To Zig) Sheesh, you guys should at least whisper!

ZIG: If yer gonna tell me that, you do it too, goddammit!

Rallen face-palms.

RALLEN: Yeah, why am I not surprised?!

Here's another thing to add to the 'Why they're my favourites' page xd

Honestly, the fact that Zig, Beht and Gorrik - of all the characters I've liked ever - are my absolute favourites is so amusing to me. They're three forgotten randos from Spectrobes Origins. They're characters whose designs have been ripped from NPCs from the previous games. They're likely the only fictional men I've ever obsessed over and will ever obsess over, and yet I'm a lesbian. It's kinda crazy! xD

These guys are three of my most favourite characters ever, but it's not because I find them attractive, precious, wholly relatable to my real life bonds or myself, or super in-depth and analysis-worthy. Instead, it's because they're just funny to me, I enjoy trying to make them interesting, and they fall under a bunch of my favourite character tropes.
(If anything, I'll admit the only times I ever felt a little "carried away" was when I would sometimes draw female Beht, but I digress xd)

Those three wouldn't die for me. I probably wouldn't die for any of them, either. I don't even think we'd make good friends. (Except with Gorrik though, maybe xD)

So, I guess you could say the biggest reason I like them so much is because of this kind of pure joy.
